By The Philosopher Zero

Philosophy Zero.

An original philosophy, built from nothing — an account of what a person actually is, reasoned from the ground up in words anyone can use.

Nothing here asks to be believed. It asks to be checked against your own life.

01 · The single claim

A person is three things.

A body, a mind, and the self that governs both. Philosophy Zero is the foundation built on that one claim — from scratch, across twenty-four years, by three versions of one philosopher.

How strong that self is, is the whole game.

Who we are

Controlism

A person is three things. Outside forces shape the body and mind. The self governs them. Its strength is the whole game.

What we are bound to

Connections

At every instant you hold four connections — body, mind, self, time and space. One per type. You are never connected to nothing.

When we are

Moments

A moment is a configuration held still. It lasts as long as none of the four connections change. The clock is a tool. The moment is the thing.

How we operate

Two Systems

Everything you do comes through urges or choices. You govern choices. You are only ever aware of urges. Neither is better. The right one for the moment is.

What condition we live within

The States

The self reads its four connections and responds. That response is the state you live inside. Thirteen positions. The balance is home.

Why they hold

Each was built independently, answering its own question without borrowing from any other — and found to connect only when held together.

02 · Who wrote it

The Philosopher Zero.

The self behind everything. Find him in the world.

The returning thinker — eleven years of parenting, politics, comedy, architecture, human behaviour — who came back to his own work and read it as a stranger. Verified what held. Overturned what broke. Built the finished foundation.

Each theory was built independently, answering its own question without borrowing from any other, and found to connect only when held together. That connection is the closest thing to confirmation a philosopher working honestly can produce.
