So is there a right home?

If home is made by living somewhere rather than by choosing it, the obvious next move is to go and choose a better one. That move has a trap in it.

In a well-governed life home is content — but home is made by residence, not by design.

A home chosen as a fortress against one state is not a home.

What this settles

Because the person who picks a home to keep one state out has given that state permanent command over where he is allowed to live. The answer is a direction, not a destination you relocate to.

Items without a link are sessions, shorts, strand reads or frameworks that live as video or audio rather than as pages. Everything Philosophy Zero puts out is listed on the Shelf.

Nothing on this page is composed. Every sentence in the answer is drawn from the pieces listed above. Where a claim is compressed, it is compressed from one of them and adds nothing they do not say.
