The Questions · the self · the states
Why does the old ritual still grip you?
The ritual has not been useful for years and it still pulls. So does the memory that arrives dressed as a reason. They are the same event.
What state they put you in.
A tradition run unchecked goes to autopilot; nostalgia run unchecked hijacks a choice.
Underneath they are one failure — a single warm state, gripping enough to make the choice by itself, with the other instruments shut out.
The skill was never to defend tradition or distrust nostalgia. It is to know the states — to feel the pull fully and keep the logic online beside it.
What this settles
Which stops the argument being about tradition at all. Neither the ritual nor the memory is the problem; a warm state making the decision on its own is. The correction is not to feel it less. It is to leave the rest of the instruments switched on while you feel it.

The Traditions Framework
Items without a link are sessions, shorts, strand reads or frameworks that live as video or audio rather than as pages. Everything Philosophy Zero puts out is listed on the Shelf.
Nothing on this page is composed. Every sentence in the answer is drawn from the pieces listed above. Where a claim is compressed, it is compressed from one of them and adds nothing they do not say.
