Who’s choosing them?
Everybody changes between rooms. The usual argument is about which version is the real one, and that argument is aimed at the wrong thing entirely.
The persona is the self deliberately choosing which state to inhabit.
The question is never which face is real — it is who is picking.
What this settles
Which relocates the whole worry. A person with many faces and one chooser is governed; a person with one face and no chooser is not. The count of faces was never the measurement.
